Hazrat Sheikh-ul Hadeeth Maulana Muhammad Zakariyya Kandhelwi
(R.A.) explains;
'Qinaa' is the cloth which Sayyidina Rasulullah (Salla lahu Alayhi
wa’ale hi Wasallam) wore on their mubaarak - blessed head under their amaamah - turban. This was to
prevent their amaamah from becoming oily. The Ulama have also mentioned some other benefits.
Only one hadith is mentioned in this chapter.
(119) Hadith Number 1
Hazrat
Anas bin Maalik radiyallahu anhu says, "Rasulullah salla lahu alayhi wa’ale hi wasallam often wore a cloth on their
mubaarak - blessed head. This cloth, because of its greasiness, looked as if had been oiled."
Commentary
That means that the cloth was oily due to the excessive use of oil. Besides all this, it is
a peculiarity of Sayyidina Rasulullah salla lahu alayhi wa’ale hi wasallam that this cloth did not become dirty, nor
did any lice live in the blessed clothing of Sayyidina Rasulullah salla lahu alayhi wa’ ale hi wasallam, and nor could
an insect suck the mubaarak - blessed blood of Sayyidina Rasulullah salla lahu alayhi wa’ale hi wasallam. Allamah
Munaawi has related from (Qari) ‘Allaamah Raazi that "A fly never sat on the clothing of Sayyidina Rasulullah salla
lahu alayhi wa’ale hi wasallam."
